Did Newey changed his opinion about not moving himself and his familiy outside UK?
Newey shifted to South Africa from what I know, and Ferrari isn't averse to remote work.

His family situation changed significantly since 2012, look it up on wiki page or elsewhere

Aston Martin was also interested in Newey. This would have the advantage for the Englishman that he could continue to work in England. However, the technology guru has long since found a second home in South Africa and has already worked remotely at Red Bull.

Even Newey simply retiring would be huge for Ferrari.
